Billy Joel sells one millionth ticket to MSG residency |

Billy Joel announces his 102nd show the residency

Piano Man Billy Joel has sold one million tickets to his Madison Square Garden (MSG) residency. Joel, who has become the venue’s first-ever music franchise, is in the midst his fourth year the residency that began in 2014. The one millionth ticket was sold to his August 23rd show, and he has just announced a show for September 30th. This show is his 56th the residency and 102nd overall. General tickets go on sale February 23rd at 10 am EST, with ticket prices ranging from $65.50 to $139.50.

Joel has sold approximately 650 tickets per day and will play his 100th all time show at the venue on July 18th. Also, Billy Joel in Concert has been one the top ten highest-grossing tours 2014, 2015 and 2017 as he has performed in stadiums throughout the country during the residency.

Joel joins the ranks the storied venue’s other original franchises – the New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty. Since January 2014, Joel has played one show per month at The Garden as part the Spectrum Concert Series.
