People always ask Chris Tucker about his character “Smokey” and a Friday sequel, but they never really understand the 49-year-old’s POV as to what it took to originally get the Ice Cube-directed movie to the fans. In an exclusive interview with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, Tucker talks about the humble beginnings for himself, Cub, and the rest of the actors who played in the cult classic flick.
According to Tucker, not much went into the production, but a lot came out of it. “We filmed it in 20 days. I got about $10,000 for it or whatever, I didn’t care. I wanted the opportunity.” He went on to say, That movie was just a camera and me and Cube on the porch. Magic came out of it, thank God.”
