The Clippers curse is a real thing y’all.

The Los Angeles Clippers choked away a 3-1 lead over the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Semi-Finals. The majority of the game was close, even with the Clippers having a 12 point lead over the Nuggets in the second quarter. However, after halftime, the Clippers started to fade away.

The Nuggets came back from a 3-1 deficit against the Utah Jazz in the first-round Western Conference playoffs. Their victory over the Clippers makes them the first team in history to come back from 3-1 deficits in the playoffs.

Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets. Murray dropped 40 on the Clippers and Jokic scored 16 points, 22 rebounds, and 13 assists. On the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard scored 14 points with 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Pat Beverly had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Paul George scored 10 points, with 4 rebounds and 2 assists.

It was shocking nonetheless to see the Clippers lose 89-104 to the Nuggets. The Clippers had been the favorite to win the NBA Championship the entire season, right above the Lakers. Looks like now we’ll never be able to see the Lakers and the Clippers in the Western Conference Finals.
