Baseball and the City of Los Angeles mourns as both took another terrible loss; this time, with the sudden death of Dodgers Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton in his sleep Monday night. Sutton was 75 years old.
Daron made the post about his All Star dad on social media on Tuesday, stating, “Saddened to share that my dad passed away in his sleep last night. He worked as hard as anyone I’ve ever known and he treated those he encountered with great respect … and he took me to work a lot. For all these things, I am very grateful. Rest In Peace.”
Sutton played 23 season in MLB, with 16 of those season in L.A. Sutton was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 1998 as the 7th all-time strike out leader in the big leagues with 3,574 Ks. ’98 was also the same year the Dodgers retired his #20 jersey.
Rest In Peace to this Dodger great!
