According to a report from New York Newsday, Nicki Minaj’s father was killed by a hit and run driver this past weekend in Long Island, NY.

Nassau County Police reported that a then unidentified man was struck by. a vehicle on February 12 around 6pm. The driver fled the scene and the victim, who was later identified as Robert maraj, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but later succumbed to his injuries. He was 64 years old.

Nassau Police have reportedly opened a murder investigation in regards the rapstress’ father, but they have no description of the vehicle that hit him.

Nicki has yet to publicly address the death of her father.
