In his fourth season, that homerun total ballooned to 44 home runs with 132 RBIs and an MVP award. He would go on to hit 25 home runs in every season he played, ending in 1973. Aaron remains baseball’s runs batted in leader with 2,297 and total base leader with 6,856, an achievement earned while combatting racism throughout his career.
