From Karol G to Selena, Here Are 11 Latin Songs for Galentine’s Day With Your Squad

Galentine’s Day is here! You know what that means, gather your squad, pop a bottle of champagne, listen to some female empowerment tunes and celebrate love and life with your girlfriends.

Galentine’s, which replaces the “val” with “gal” in Valentine’s, is celebrated on February 13, the day before Valentine’s Day. Although it’s not an official holiday, it’s become a beloved tradition amongst many groups of friends, especially the single ladies.

The fake holiday was created 10 years ago by the fictional character Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) of Parks and Recreation. In an episode that aired in 2010, she said: “Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.” The rest is history.

Celebrating it is easy and Billboard is here to hook you up with 11 Latin songs for your Galentine’s playlist.

From Karol G’s “Tusa” to Olga Tañon’s “Es Mentiroso,” take a listen below.
