DaniLeigh Gets Dragged For Releasing a Song Celebrating ‘Light Skin Baddies’ Titled “Yellow Bone”

DaniLeigh is in the hot seat again for upcoming single, “Yellow Bone.”

The singer previewed the song on social media and the caption read, “YELLOW BONE THATS WHAT HE WANT.” It’s unclear if her boyfriend, DaBaby is the subject of this song but he commented three yellow circle emojis, seemingly giving his stamp of approval.

Dani was accused of promoting colorism and she quickly defended herself by saying the record was a tribute to “light-skinned baddies.”

“Why I can’t make a song for my light skin baddies??” she wrote in a post on Instagram. “Why y’all think I’m hating on other colors when there are millions of songs speaking on all types… Why y’all so sensitive & take it personal… Gahhhh damn,” she commented on a blog’s comment section.

Many people noted that she’s not even Black and claimed the quality of the song was low.

DaniLeigh clapped back on Twitter with a series of seemingly dismissive tweets. “Congratulations y’all gotta another thing to say about me when u hate.”

She added, “the people around me are the ones that know my heart and intention and real life … I’m sorry if I offended u.”

The apology came after proclaiming that she was being hated on, but she eventually deleted the teaser.

One Twitter user wrote, “Have all the celebrity PR reps been fired? Do they still exist? Because I know Danileigh didn’t get on social media to promote a song that says “yellow bone that’s what he want”, and then call people sensitive. I know I didn’t just see that!”
