XL Syndicate Enter A New Musical Era With Recent Single “Long Way”

Power duo, XL Syndicate, release a new emotive single called “Long Way.” Thanks to their collaborative efforts, MP.XL and Rio.XL come up with a diverse and dynamic track that introduces a completely new sound. In fact, both artists explain that they “mix sounds and elements in ways that make the sum of the parts something new.”

“Long Way” represents a new chapter for XL Syndicate. The pair set the tone of what they intend to achieve with their music, without losing the essence of who they are as artists. In addition to bringing together different sound elements, the producers send an important message restating that there are no shortcuts in life.

Speaking of “Long Way,” XL Syndicate reveal that the song encourages people to endure the hard times and not take the easy way out, “You can take the long way which might be harder, longer and have challenges but you can emerge stronger or you can take the fast way where things come easier at first but you realize it may not have been the best choice in the long run.”

The message is pretty straightforward and implied in the lyrics,  “Took the long way/ yeah/ In case there’s really no such thing as always/You make forever feel like an open doorway/What would it take to make it last/ Don’t know why I’ve never asked/ Tell me you wanna find our way/ we can find it/ we can find it/ Make it work yeah we’ll find it.”

Following the release of “Long Way,” XL Syndicate, who are influenced by Soca, Reggae, R&B, and Hip-Hop music, hope they can one day collaborate with Grammy-winning producer IzyBeats and renowned artists like Jhené Aiko, Kaytranada, and FKA Twigs.
