Tyler, The Creator’s ‘Goblin’ Album Quietly Went Gold In January

Tyler, The Creator's debut album Goblin, released on May 10, 2011, on XL Recordings, has ficially been certified Gold by the RIAA.

This marks the second Gold certification Tyler's career, following the album's second single, “Yonkers,” which earned the 26-year-old the same honor in September 2014.

According to the RIAA website, Goblin was certified on January 30, 2018. Interestingly, to date, no major news outlet or publication—or even Tyler himself—has reported on or made mention this accolade.

Tyler's scoring the second Gold plaque his career comes on the heels earning a GRAMMY nomination for his acclaimed 2017 release Flower Boy for Best Rap Album and receiving mainstream airplay for the very first time.
