Cozz and Curren$y Team up for the Pensive “Badu”: Listen

Cozz is sending up a musical prayer.

On his latest single, “Badu,” the South Central native and Dreamville signee tempers the vibe just enough, discussing survival and the pitfalls materialism over a Meez and Enimal-produced sax line that wafts across a loop crunchy kicks.

As the percussion picks up and Cozz’ flow follows suit, New Orleans jet lifer Curren$y steps in with his own tight verse. With bars that read like Curren$y’s rap game field notes and a lax delivery, the rapper effortlessly doubles the intimate quality “Badu.” This single is a prime example the power the pensive banger.
