Eminem Donates Mom's Spaghetti To Healthcare Workers In Detroit

Detroit, MI – Eminem showed his support for healthcare workers fighting COVID-19 by providing food to hospitals in his home of Detroit.

According to The Detroit News, Slim Shady donated cups of his Mom’s Spaghetti brand to the Henry Ford Health System and Detroit Receiving Hospital.

“Our #HealthcareHeroes ‘lost themselves’ in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own, @eminem,” HFHS wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!”

Eminem and his Marshall Mathers Foundation served up the spaghetti with the help of Clarkston, Michigan’s Union Joints, which previously teamed up with the Shady Records boss for a Mom’s Spaghetti pop-up in 2017. The brand name comes from the lyrics of his 8 Mile soundtrack hit “Lose Yourself.”

The diamond-selling MC’s manager Paul Rosenberg says more food donations will be delivered in the coming weeks once Union Joints regains the workforce needed to do so. In total, 400 meals were given to Henry Ford and Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Eminem’s charitable act adds his name to a growing list of Hip Hop artists who’ve assisted the COVID-19 relief efforts by donating food, money and supplies.

Cardi B and 2 Chainz are among the other notable names who’ve supplied meals to healthcare workers during the pandemic.
