The tour will resume on October 12th in Tulsa, OK

Jason Aldean has decided to cancel this coming weekend’s shows in Los Angeles, Anaheim and San Diego, CA, following Sunday’s shooting during his performance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. Aldean has released the following statement regarding the cancellation.

“As a result what happened in Las Vegas this week, we have decided to cancel this coming weekend’s shows. I feel like out respect for the victims, their families and our fans, it is the right thing to do. It has been an emotional time for everyone involved this week, so we plan to take some time to mourn the ones we have lost and be close with our family and friends. Our plan is to resume the tour the following week in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our first time back onstage will be a very tough and emotional thing for us, but we will all get through it together and honor the people we lost by doing the only thing we know how to do – play our songs for them. I hope everyone understands why we can’t play this weekend and I’m sorry if anyone is disappointed,” he writes.

“I want to say thank you for the outpouring love from my friends and fans we have received over the last couple days. You guys have no idea how much you have helped get us through this tough time.

“Thank You and God Bless.”

Aldean was set to headline The Forum in Los Angeles on Friday, October 6th; the Mattress Firm Amphitheater in San Diego on Saturday, October 7th and Honda Center in Anaheim on Sunday, October 8th. Refunds for all three shows are available at the point purchase. The tour will resume on October 12th in Tulsa, OK.

Aldean will celebrate his annual “Concert For The Cure” during his upcoming They Don’t Know Tour stop at Louisville, Kentucky’s KFC YUM Center on October 20th. The show will feature special guests Chris Young, Kane Brown and Dee Jay Silver — whose baby son and nanny were a few doors down from the shooter in Las Vegas and were deemed safe after being rescued by law enforcement.

Aldean will also perform as part Country Rising, a benefit concert to support those in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and additional Caribbean islands who have been impacted by the recent hurricanes. The all star concert, also featuring Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Chris Stapleton and many more, will be held November 12th at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
